This is a great mini tripod. If you have a small LED projector, laser projector, digital camera, or security camera, this tripod easily holds it steady and in any angle you want.
The ball joint on top can be moved in any direction and tightened with a screw on the side of it. This allows you to point your device in any direction and keep it absolutely steady. It even has a groove in the side that can cradle the neck and point the device at the ceiling. If you don’t need the positioning of the ball joint, or if the device is too high, you can unscrew the entire ball joint and simply use the base legs.
Both the ball joint and the base legs have a 1/4″ metal screw on top of them to mount compatible devices. I personally use a 2000 lumen LED smart projector and haven’t had a single problem. The description mentions that the tripod can support up to 4.4 lbs.
The tripod comes with an optional C clamp that screws onto it and wraps around the top and bottom of a small projector. It’s stationary and you can’t adjust the size of it, but it has foam rubber pads on the inside so the projector is snug, but won’t get scratched. It’s only compatible with projectors that can fit inside it.
The legs easily fold up and down and they have several grooves molded into the feet for added grip. The legs won’t stay in place on their own, but by twisting a knob directly above the legs, you can set three different heights that the legs won’t exceed.
Overall, I love the tripod and it’s great for positioning anywhere around the house or conference room.
