I have a few needs for a tripod. I used to have my other camera take photos of me by setting it up on a railing and it was great. My newer camera to replace the other one that was giving me trouble is not easy to work with when it comes to taking photos of clothing or distance photos with me in them.
I got this tripod to help with that.
CASE
This case is fantastic!
The case is padded heavily and made from a tough canvas and lined with nylon/poly looking fabric. The zipper is strong and easy to operate without sticking. It has a great strap on the back for slinging it over the shoulder to carry with you.
QUALITY
This is a very high quality tripod. It is not ultra light weight. That is because it is very sturdy and well made. The screws and snap on pieces work very well and have tight and nice attachments.
OPERATION
This is not a difficult tripod to operate, but if you have never operated a tripod before, play with it before bringing it on location and trying to use it. Find the right attachments to fit your device and it is not difficult to use. I use the camera bag to weigh down the hook, but you can put any heavy enough items on the weight hook to keep the tripod stable if you want to.
UNEVEN GROUND
This is easy to adjust to fit on uneven ground. If you take the time to put it where you want it to be, it will stay put- it does for me.
PHOTOS
I take photos with it from standing behind my camera or tablet or phone, but when it comes to taking photos of myself modeling outfits or any distance photo with me in it, I am having some issues. I need to find a remote that works with my camera to test that out. So far, no luck.
SCREWDRIVER
This comes with allen keys to help you tighten certain parts of the tripod which I like.
MARKING
The markings on this make it very easy to use. Everything is well marked and makes it intuitive if you have not used a tripod before.
LEVEL
The levels are both accurate and work well.
MONOPOD
I have no use for the monopod so I don’t use it, but it is on the heavier side if you plan to use it so be aware of that.
INSTRUCTIONS
The instructions are good with written and then diagrams on how to use this tripod. It does not label the parts in the bag, however, so you have to look up how to use the parts if you don’t know.
THE BOTTOM LINE
This tripod is a sturdy and very well made tripod. It holds up my camera or devices well for taking good photos or video. The case is excellent and makes it easy to transport the tripod.
MY RATING
FIVE STARS. I love this tripod. I am hoping to find a remote soon so I can finally take photos of myself from a distance again. This is a great tripod. I HIGHLY recommend it if you are a beginner up to a professional. It is not super lightweight, but it is well made and sturdy.
